Abstract:
Compared with gas chromatography (GC) with constant temperature injection, programmed temperature GC has the advantages of wide application, fast analysis and high separation. In this paper,a method for simultaneous qualitative and quantitative analysis of C

40 extractable petroleum hydrocarbons in contaminated soil was established by programmed temperature GC,which using N-hexane as solvent,C

44 normal hydrocarbon mixture as boiling point qualitative calibration material, and diesel-lubricating oil (1∶1) mixture as quantitative standard material. The proportion of petroleum hydrocarbon components in soil can be determined quickly and intuitively by this method. At the same time, the results of the extractable petroleum hydrocarbon content determination of different injection methods were compared. It is found that there exists inlet discrimination when using the splitless mode with the split/splitless injection, the quantitative results deviated by up to 28.6%.However,there is no inlet discrimination when using the programmed temperature splitless mode with the programmed temperature injection. It also has high precision and veracity when determining distillate oil and contaminated soil sample with wide boiling range and wide concentration difference.
