Abstract:
The control of emerging contaminants is closely related to people’s health and national ecological and environmental security.Based on the strategic background of comprehensively promoting the construction of a Beautiful China, this research systematically summarizes the research progress and policy practices related to emerging contaminants control in China.Addressing the current structural shortcomings in China, such as fragmented control technologies, backward methodologies for environmental risk prevention and control, the disconnection between industry-university-research and application, and insufficient international discourse, this article proposes the development trends of science and technology for emerging contaminants control from three dimensions:technological paradigm transformation, breakthroughs in core directions, and the construction of an innovation system.Specifically,it involves the transformation from fragmented control to full-chain collaborative prevention and control, focusing on the three-dimensional technological innovation of refinement, greenization and intellectualization, and constructing a dual-wheel-driven innovation system based on industry-university-research and application collaboration and international rule co-construction.Meanwhile,this article analyzes the challenges of collaborative disconnection among the technology chain, industrial chain and governance chain, and puts forward breakthrough approaches including multi-media collaborative control and cross-departmental linkage, targeted research on core technologies, and improvement of domestic and international collaboration mechanisms. This study can provide references for China to advance the research and development of key technologies for emerging contaminants control, improve the technical standard system, and enhance China’s discourse power in global environmental governance.
