Construction of an ecosystem perception network based on space-air-ground collaborative monitoring

Abstract
Ecological monitoring provides fundamental data support for Beautiful China construction. With the continuous development of ecological monitoring technologies, the traditional monitoring model characterized mainly by single observation methods, fragmented data management, and local applications has become insufficient to meet the needs of cross-scale, multiobject, and high-timeliness ecological monitoring. Oriented to the national demands for ecological protection and restoration supervision, this paper proposes an overall framework for constructing an ecosystem perception network. The framework aims to integrate satellite remote sensing, airborne remote sensing, ground stations and plot observations, internet of things sensors, data management platforms, and intelligent analysis models, thereby establishing a network operation system featuring space-air-ground collaborative monitoring, collaborative data application, and central-local coordinated operation. Taking data acquisition, data processing, data management, and data application as the main technical line, the ecosystem perception network realizes functions such as three-dimensional ecosystem perception, standardized processing of multi-source and multi-modal data, production and validation of multi-element and multi-type products,multi-scenario information sharing services, and data mining applications. This framework can promote the transformation of ecological monitoring from fragmented observation to a networked, collaborative, operational and intelligent mode, providing technical support and data guarantees for ecological quality assessment, ecological status evaluation, and ecological security risk warning.
